What do you look for in a Scholar Candidate?
We look for highly motivated US and International medical school graduates who are passionate about academic medicine and medical education; with excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrates strong interpersonal and collaborative skills and consistent professionalism.
What will my program experience look like?
Our program will offer you physician leaders’ mentorship and an objective-driven curriculum. Using milestones and standardized rubrics, your faculty will provide you with regular performance feedback. ACGME or AOA does not accredit our medical education scholar program. Any recommendation letter will be based upon your performance evaluation.
What will be my work-life balance?
Our Southfield campus is just outside downtown Detroit’s city, while our suburban Novi campus is nestled just 20 minutes away. Although public transportation is not available, it is only a short drive between the two sites. Outside of coursework, you will be able to explore local hot spots, including Royal Oak, Somerset Mall, Michigan State parks, and our Great Lakes’ beautiful coastlines.
