We are expecting to have a significant transition that may impact the information in this page. Ascension Providence hospital along with other Ascension southeast Michigan hospitals will be joining with Henry Ford Health to create a  Joint Venture effective October 1, 2024. With this new partnership, we expect our GME program to expand and have more research and educational opportunities than before. Our compensation package and contracts are expected to remain the same or be equivalent for the upcoming academic year. More information will be shared as it becomes available.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
  • Educational Allowance - $1000 - $1750 annually depending on the year of training.

    • ​Expenditures used from the Educational Allowance must be in alignment with the “Educational Allowance Policy.”

  • Residents in the last year of training get an additional $1500 for a Board Review Course.

Visa Statement

Ascension Providence Hospital will support J1 visas.
